About Vince...

Edgar Vincent Ortiz was born and raised in an area of Texas known as the Rio Grande Valley and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. From a young age, Vince loved art and would often draw sketches of his favorite video game characters, especially Sonic the Hedgehog. To his surprise, he was asked to illustrate Cooped Up Cats; he had never imagined that his beloved hobby would become a profession. After searching for an appropriate art style that would capture the personalities of the cats in Mo’s Kitty Co., Vince discovered water markers and began painting with the ink from the markers. Vince now resides in Georgia with his wife and son, who not only love the work he has created, but also inspire his future projects.
